We’ve teamed up with FIFA Streamer and YouTuber, ELYYT (@ElyytFIFA on Twitter) to bring you ground-breaking market analysis and coin making tips. These tips are far from the usual “buy low / sell high”. Enjoy this week’s wrap up of the FUT 17 Transfer Market. The market will fluctuate over the next week or two with the FIFA 17 FUT 8th Birthday & St. Patrick’s Day promotions landing soon!

Buying and Selling FUT Cards
The Market has made a recovery from the madness that we experienced throughout January and February, but it will not stay this way for long. Here are some tips on when to buy and sell your players throughout the next weeks.
When to Buy FUT Cards
Most of us have our squads and transfer lists full of investments. Whether they are 83/84 rated cards, or long term inform investments, the pattern should be similar: Sell when you have the profit because another crash is on its way. I made tons of inform investments in Van Aanholt and Keita, that I’ll be selling as soon as they rise to profit in the Weekend League hype this weekend. Now, you still have at least a full week to prepare, so do NOT panic, just keep it in mind. I would avoid buying too many cards, unless it’s a simple ‘Buy Sunday, Sell Friday’ when making coins off of the Weekend League hype. In general, stay away from buying cards until prices drop during St Patrick’s Day and the FUT 8th Birthday celebrations (expected March 21-28th, the Birthday falls on March 19th). I’ll discuss certain SBC card investments such as 83/84s later in the article.
When to Sell FUT Cards
St Patrick’s Day is on the 17th of March, which could initiate the influx of promo packs and selling that we will see through the end of March. However, with another Weekend League coming this weekend, that gives a golden opportunity to offload some cards for some big profit. Take that profit, and do not get greedy. Once the St Patrick’s day panic begins, the window for selling will be closed. Sell this weekend, or at the latest, next Tuesday night (March 14th.). I’d even avoid waiting that long.
Squad Building Challenges
In case you have been living under a rock, SBCs are one of the most effective ways to make profit in FIFA 17. This, of course, does not even require you to complete a single challenge. In this section, I will explain and predict possible SBCs in which you can make investments that will guarantee you profit.
FIFA 17 Player of the Month for February
POTM is getting closer, but the window for most investments have closed. At this point, it’s probably best to sell your investments into the hype, and take that guaranteed profit! Personally, I’ve already sold my Inform Michael Keane’s for 5k profit each, and the same for Alderweireld. You should begin to do the same, if you have not already. Although it may seem like a good idea to wait until POTM to sell sometimes, always remember the golden rule: Sell into the hype. EA will do their best to throw us off, and although there is a chance that you may have a card that is required, the chances are normally not worth taking.
the POTM will be released the morning of March 10th, based on previous months, normally around 11:30 AM UK time, or 6:30 AM EST. The most likely player to win POTM February is Romelu Lukaku of Everton. However, Harry Kane also has a strong chance and in no way can you rule him out. In general, all aspects of these players have been invested in heavily by the community already, and it is best to wait until POTM drops on Friday morning to quickly buy players that are required by the SBC.
FIFA 17 St. Patrick’s Day
While some years have been better than others, normally this day is a huge let down for investors. However, if you make any investments for St. Patrick’s Day, follow the golden rule: Sell into the hype. Do NOT wait until St. Patrick’s day to sell. Some cards to focus on might be the inform McGeady, or the inform Adam Rooney. While there is a very slim chance these cards will be needed for an SBC during St Patrick’s Day, there is no doubt they will rise from the hype. Be sure to sell into the hype, which could be over a week before St Patty’s Day on the 17th of March. The window to get the irish informs at their cheapest has passed, but there is still profit to be made.
A decent idea that has not been heavily invested in would be investing in cheap Irish Gold Cards, as there could be an SBC requiring them, and that possibility itself will cause the rise of these cards over the next 9 days. They are currently only 850 coins, and there will not be any promo packs that would cause a supply of them to hit the market until St Patrick’s Day itself.
FIFA 17 TOTW Guaranteed SBCs
So much investing has already gone on from the speculated TOTW 25 Guaranteed SBC. I told my stream on Twitch that there was no chance of this SBC dropping because these are simply methods EA use to restabilize the market. The market is already stable, so there would be no point. However, there will be soon. That means if you’ve already invested in these 83/84 rated cards along with discard informs, keep holding. With the promo packs from St. Patrick’s Day and the FUT 8th Birthday events, we are more than likely to see a TOTW Guaranteed SBC for TOTW 26, or in my opinion it will be for TOTW 27.
Final Words: Your focus this week should be selling on the cards that you’ve made investments in. Don’t panic, but do not wait too long. The window will be closing next week, a few days before St Patrick’s Day.
Hopefully I have helped you make some coins in the past few weeks, and I will continue to help you profit this week and in the future weeks while we have the St Patrick’s Day and FUT 8th Birthday promotions. If you have any more questions, I would be happy to answer them on my Twitter: @ElyytFIFA.
