We’ve all been there – selling the FIFA 17 staff cards for quick coins because we don’t know what they actually do. The answer is simple: they ‘increase’ the power of your other consumables. Once you know what they do they and how to use them, they become a huge asset to you and your players.
FIFA 17 Staff Cards
There are 5 different staff cards: Managers, Head Coaches, Goalkeeper Coaches, Physio Coaches and Fitness Coaches. In short, Manager cards increase the amount of contracts you apply to the player, Head Coach cards increase the attributes of player training cards, Goalkeeper Coach cards increase the attributes of goalkeeper training cards, Physio Coach cards increase the number of games on the healing card and Fitness Coach cards increase the amount of fitness you apply to the player.
A manager card does two different things. Firstly, a manager card increases the amount of contracts that you apply to a player. The system adds up all the percentages of all the managers in your club, then multiply it by the amount of games on the contract card you are applying to the player. Each manager card has a range of 0% to 3% and the maximum it will increase any contract card by is 50%. Non-rare bronze and non-rare silver managers have 0% while rare bronze and non-rare gold managers have 1%. Rare silver managers have 2% and rare gold managers have 3%.
Secondly, a manager card increases the chemistry of players in your active squad by +1 if they have the same league and/or nationality. This is only achievable if that specific manager is active in your squad, it doesn’t account for the inactive ones in your club.
Head Coach Cards
Another FIFA 17 staff card is the Head Coach card. Some of us apply training cards to our players to make them have better passing, better shooting. As long as the players’ stats increase, I can safely say we’re happy. When you add an attribute card to a player (for example a shooting modifier card), all the Head Coach cards in your club that have a shooting percentage on them will increase the actual modifier card even more. If you only have one 15% Head Coach card for shooting, when you apply a +15 shooting card, it will increase that modifier from 15 to 17 as 15 times 15% = 2.25, so round down to 2 and add it to the original 15. Each Head Coach card has a range of 5% to 15% and the maximum it will increase any attribute card by is 50%.
Goalkeeper Coach Cards
Goalkeeper Coach cards are very similar to Head Coach cards, in fact they do exactly the same thing but they are specifically for goalkeepers. If you add a +6 All Attribute modifier card to a goalkeeper, it will increase each of his six on-card stats by 6 points. You can increase this amount by up to 50% by collecting each Goalkeeper Coach card. 50% times 6 = 3, so by collecting each Goalkeeper Coach card you can increase the boost to +9. Each Goalkeeper coach card has a range of 5% to 15% and the maximum it will increase any goalkeeper attribute card by is 50%.
Physio Coach Cards
Physio Coach cards increase the number of games on the healing card depending on how many Physio Coach cards you have in your club. If a player has a upper body injury and you had a +2 upper body injury card and also had ‘upper body’ physio cards that equalled 30% it would increase the upper body injury card to +3 (2 times 30% = 0.6, round up to 1), in this example. Each Physio Coach card has a range of 5% to 15% and the maximum it will increase any healing card by is 50%.
However, Not all the Physio Coach cards will help to decrease the healing period, for example if your player has an leg injury and you have a +1 leg injury card but also have a ‘foot’ physio card, the leg injury card will not increase as they are not the same injuries.
Fitness Coach Cards
We all hate spending coins on it, but we know that for our players to survive we have to give them fitness cards. Fitness Coach cards increase the amount of fitness you are giving to your player. For example, if you have a +60 player fitness card and have 15% worth of Fitness Coach cards in your club then your fitness card could increase to +69 (60 times 15% = 9). The same rule applies for team fitness cards, they are no different. Using the same example as above, you could increase a +30 team fitness card to +35 (30 times 15% = 4.5, round up to 5). Each Fitness Coach card has a range of 1% to 5% and the maximum it will increase any fitness card by is 50%.
So how many of you are going to keep your FIFA 17 staff cards instead of sell them and save yourself FIFA 17 coins in the long run?
