What happened last year?
Last year, the FIFA Web App and mobile companion app was under maintenance from Friday, September 11th at midnight UK. Both were later released worldwide from Tuesday, September 15th at 6pm UK. EA Sports announced that they would be available on Thursday, September 17th. EA Early Access was available from Wednesday, September 16th in the evening, 2 days before expected.
Fans were given more than 24 hours of pre-release trading before EA Access had begun. A time where player prices were relatively very cheap and a market that was fairly erratic. We capitalised here, using many of the methods we previously shared, managing to build a solid BPL team just by trading our way up from the starter packs and returning user packs. We also collected our daily gifts from midnight on Thursday, September 17th.
EA Sports Link
The official EA Sports FIFA 17 Web App Link can be found here. Please note that it will currently be live for FIFA 16 Ultimate Team, until it’s under maintenance around September 16th, 2016.
How to get into Webstart
This is important! The FIFA Web App Webstart period for FIFA 17 is available to FUT 16 players who have created a security question and answer to their EA account via console, before August 1st, 2016. If you’re new, we’d play it safe and also play several online games! This will likely put you in good shape for a returning user pack or two, which rewards returning users for their loyalty. If you do manage to get online, keep the window open. EA often ramp up connectivity and initially start by giving a small percentage of users access.
Daily gifts will be returning to FIFA 17 and will offer free FUT 17 coins and packs every day! Last year we received a new gift for logging into the web app each day from September 17, midnight UK until October 1st. This really helped to boost our trading volume before the official release. When daily gifts are available, set an alarm and make sure you 100% collect them each day. Coins before the official FIFA 17 release will go much further as player prices are much cheaper, meaning daily gifts are relatively worth significantly more.
Making FIFA 17 Coins
You’ll find some of the best current trading methods below and in the comments section.
Squad Builder & Player Investments
Using a popular squad during early access will make for a great investment. This will also help you to win matches and therefore make even more coins. Think of players that others will want for their teams, especially in popular leagues, and purchase them before the official release at a bargain. We’ll be mostly trading with BPL players as this league will be where the highest percentage of teams are built. Players such as; Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lacazette, Bonucci, Mkhitaryan, Gundogan and Pogba etc all seem like popular choices. It’s important to note that you’ll have most success purchasing expensive players at a bargain when BIN Sniping or using the 59th minute method.
The market will be very erratic during Webstart and early access, which means expensive players will be sold cheap! These players will also be sold above their values as users won’t know how to price them. Most players above 500 coins who player in a popular league will be increasing in price towards the release and then will fall shortly afterwards. We’ve done the research here and that seems to be the general trend from previous years.
Invest as early as possible for the cheapest prices and sell around September 29th for maximum profits.
Investing in Player Performances
This method is timeless and has worked year after year! While it’s very successful, it’s also very delicate. You must buy and sell the player at the correct time in order to make FIFA 17 coins. The Barclays Premier League will be the most widely viewed league in the world and hence where the most hype will be. Therefore your focus should be on the following;
- The bigger the game, the more the player hype. A game which is televised obviously makes for more hype.
- If the player is not already inflated and you can break even, it may be worth purchasing before the game starts. If the player has an exceptional game, then he may be in line for a TOTW in-form and his price will increase in the space of minutes. Sometimes, if you’re quick, you can purchase the player before he increases.
- Hype bubbles are difficult to time perfectly. Our favoured solution here is to purchase as soon as the player looks to be playing well, monitor the market and sell as soon as we think his price is near peaking (be conservative as in the long run it’s best to guarantee yourself a profit). Sell for 1 hour and at a price that will sell, otherwise you may be stuck with a player that’s listed and declining in price.
Rare Silver Players
Many FIFA Ultimate Team users sell silver players without checking their value, assuming they’re cheap. Make a list of the most expensive silver players (usually those that have good skill moves and pace) and then search the transfer market. You should be able to pick these players up in the 59th minute, when BIN Sniping or on bid!
Selling EASFC Catalogue Items
For those that are desperately in need of coins and have a lot of football club credits, you can actually purchase kits and balls in the EASFC catalogue. EASFC catalogue items have a decent quick sell value which means you can easily accumulate quick FUT 17 coins.
Bronze Pack Method
This is becoming a method for very patient players as more people are now using it. Basically it’s where you buy 400 coin bronze packs and sell the contents at 1 hour listing cycles. Eventually several items do sell, but it can take a while to make any coins.
